American Baritone Clayton Kahler Brown is a native of Dallas Texas, currently living and performing as a singer, actor and voice over talent in New York City.  Hailed for "Physically and vocally selling the song like no other" "wonderful and sensitive" "stellar and heartbreaking" (Broadway World), "A sterling baritone voice" (Tampa Times), Clayton has had a stage career ranging from Musical Theatre and Opera to Concert and Jazz/Gospel.  His recent roles include, The Baker in Into The Woods with St. Petersburg Opera, Fredrik Egerman in A Little Night Music with the American Musical Theatre Ensemble, Man #3 in Putting It Together with St. Petersburg Opera,  and Billis in South Pacific with Ash Lawn Opera.  Over the past year, his concert work has included the baritone solos of Brahms' Requiem and Fauré's Requiem with Fifth Avenue Presbyterian and Duruflé's Requiem with Morristown Presbyterian.  Clayton was a Soloist with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra for the United States tour of the Abyssinian Mass led by the esteemed trumpet player and composer Wynton Marsalis and conductor Damien Sneed, which is now available for purchase on iTunes.  Clayton is also a vetted voice over artist with a vetted at home studio where he submits auditions and produces professional quality voice overs to his clients.  Hailed for “Great work, very fast delivery” (Nexus Studio) “Incredible performance in voice acting!  Couldn’t have asked for more.  I will definitely use this artist again in future projects!” (Lamhoan), Clayton provides personal and authentic voice over reads with a collaborative spirit.  His diverse background in singing and acting keeps his performance energetic, fresh and youthful.  Previous Musical Theatre roles include Father in Ragtime, Buddy Fidler in City of Angels, Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof, Prince in Cinderella, Sunny in Grease, Tony in The Most Happy Fella, Edouard Dindon in La Cage Aux Folles, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, Man # 1 in Side by Side by Sondheim, Oliver Hix (Quartet Baritone) in The Music Man, Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance, and Reverend Shaw Moore in Footloose.  When it comes to his operatic repertoire, he has performed Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus, Leporello in Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Marcello in La Boheme, Herr Reich in Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor, and Wilhelm in The Ghosts of Versailles.  He holds a Bachelor degree in Music from Oklahoma City University where he studied with Florence Birdwell.  He also holds a Masters degree in Music from Manhattan School of Music and continues study with Ron Raines.  Clayton has also studied Acting (Meisner Technique) with Barbara Marchant at the William Espers Studio.
